Training Contract

Driscoll Young Solicitors is one of the leading providers of Criminal Defence Services in South Wales. With offices in Newport and Caerphilly, we offer 24-hour legal advice and representation at police stations and courts. Our practice covers a broad spectrum of cases, from theft and assault to serious offences such as murder and terrorism.

We are seeking two dedicated graduates who have completed the LPC or SQE to undertake a training contract or its SQE equivalent. Candidates should have a strong commitment to criminal defence, as this is our sole area of practice.

Successful applicants will immediately begin the Police Station Accreditation program, allowing them to represent clients at the police station before qualifying as solicitors. This accreditation offers invaluable hands-on experience, along with significant overtime opportunities.

Upon qualification, our goal is to provide comprehensive training and support to help candidates become Duty Solicitors. This reflects our long-term investment in their professional development, with a view to retaining those who excel in the role.

We look forward to receiving your application.
